Dulwich Prep & Senior is an exciting place to work. With over 800 pupils, it has been the largest boys’ prep school in the UK and is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the world’s most cosmopolitan city. We are excited to launch our senior section this September, and boys will now be able to stay with us until GCSE.
The school’s strength is its community: our staff, who are professional, passionate, and brilliantly collegiate (CPD is massively important); our pupils, who are inquisitive, challenging learners with a spring in their step, and our parents, who are hugely supportive, appreciative and ambitious.
We are actively seeking an Early Years Practitioner (Teaching Assistant), someone who is passionate about igniting a Love of Learning in children and who shares our vision of intellectual curiosity, to join our Early Years teams in the Summer Term 2025
Your Role
As an Early Years Practitioner you will:
· Work flexibly across the Early Years section, supporting all classes
· Create and manage a caring, supportive, stimulating and safe environment for the children
· Assist teachers in delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons across the Early Years curriculum
· Manage groups or individual pupils including, on occasion, working one-to-one with children requiring additional support
Applications are invited from teaching assistants who can demonstrate the following:
· A Level 3 qualification, deemed ‘full and relevant’ by the Department for Education (DfE)
· Knowledge of DfE Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and statutory requirements
· Experience of caring for and inspiring children
· Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures
Applications for this role must be completed via an application form, along with a cover letter explaining your suitability for this role and a completed Equal Opportunities form, which should be sent to Tamsin Hutson, HR Manager at recruitment@dulwichprepsenior.org.uk
- Closing Date: Wednesday 19 March, 9.00am
- Interviews: week commencing 24 March 2025
- Start Date: April 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter
We reserve the right to appoint at any time during the recruitment process.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo checks with past employers, online checks and an enhanced DBS check.
We are an equal-opportunity employer and welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds. We believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where all employees are valued and respected for their unique perspectives and contributions. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply for this position.
