We are looking for a SEN Teacher for our New Acorn School – Manor Wood School, Bishopsworth. The school will have capacity for 80 pupils and is due to open May 2025. The school will be a co-educational provision for pupils with complex needs including SEMH.

About the role
As an SEN Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching pupils according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises pupil’s achievement and ability to develop.
This is a great opportunity for a SEN Teacher who is keen to develop creative learning opportunities for pupils with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure, and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.
When it comes to looking after our pupils, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a SEN Teacher experienced in teaching a range of subjects and who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK to be happy and to make their way in the world.
The successful candidate must be familiar with and happy to adopt a therapeutic approach to teaching and working with SEN/SEMH/Autistic pupils. You will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every pupil to reach their potential.
For this role, you should:
- Have previous experience teaching in an SEN school or experience working with pupils with complex additional needs.
- Have experience teaching and be able to plan fun and engaging sessions.
- Have a UK QTS or equivalent.
